I want to keep a list of links here as quick resources for writers (actually, for myself in particular). Usually it’ll be stuff about writing that I want to read, but just haven’t had the time to do so yet, or stuff I found helpful and want to save for future reference. I’ll probably update it from time to time as I come across stuff. If you can suggest any useful links, please do so in the comments area!

Tea & Magic is the personal blog of writer and working mother, PC Wheeler. Here you will find stories about life, articles on writing and book reviews from the perspective of a writer who struggles every day to put her vision into words.

Thanks for the post! A lot here. I just looked at the word count post. Interesting and informative. Bottom line I guess is if you’re a first author NOT a good idea to break over 100k
From everything I’ve read, that is a big no no. Apparently it has a lot do do printing and editorial costs as well as the acknowledged verbosity of new writers. In other words, if your manuscript is over the 100 000 mark, you probably didn’t tighten and clean up the writing as much as you should have!
